Visiting Temple Square

We went down to see the Christmas lights and see the Christus Statue. Mel enjoyed see Jesus but in the picture she was tired.

Here she is with the Grandma and Papa Locher. This is a good one Mel was happy to be with them.

We had someone take a picture of all of us and Mel was not willing to look at the camera but she did have fun. Then we went outside to see the Nativity Scene. Mel was looking for a big Jesus not a baby Jesus. We ended up telling her that Jesus started out as a baby then he got big. After that she understood that everyone is a baby at first then they get big.

Trip to Arizona 2009

We had to take a picture of Karen and Nick when we were in Oatman Arizona. They do look good together.

Here is Mark and Mel sitting on a small bench because Mel wanted to sit down and relax. She didn't want to walk anymore.

Here is Mel, Uncle Nick and Aunt Karen. They were taking care of some branches that we were cutting down at Deb's grandparents house.

Melissa's Birthday

We had family and friends over for a birthday party for Mel.

Melissa was so happy that she had a Mickey Mouse cake. She was also enjoying it when she had her grandparents there to celebrate her birthday.

Family Pictures

While we were getting Deborah's graduation pictures done we also had some family pictures done. We love this picture of Melissa.

Here is a picture that turned out really cute.

Mel wanted to be swung up in the air like she was flying.

This was a good family picture of us and Mel she was trying to hide from the camera but it didn't work.

Deborah's Graduation Pictures

We haven't posted for a while so we are going to get it updated for all of you that likes to look at our blog to see what is happening.

Deborah had her sister-in-law take her graduation pictures. Deborah graduated in May 8, 2009. Deborah worked very hard so we were excited that she finally got her degree.

Doesn't she look good in these two pictures. She had her cousin do the hair and a friend did her make-up man it was a long time that we saw her in make-up.

Slot Machine

While we were at Great Grandparents Mel saw the slot machines. Deborah's Grandma went and grabbed some coins so Mel can play it.

Yes we were teaching her early, but she was having fun doing it.

OUCH!!

Melissa had an unfortunate accident with a game machine and whacked her head into it! Don't worry she is just fine! It looked a lot worse than it really was!

Flying a Kite

After we left San Diego we went on to Kingman, Arizona to visit Deborah's grandparents. There we found a kite and Melissa got her first taste of kite flying!

Melissa just loved flying the kite..

...so much fun that Dad had to get involved!

Shamu

Before the show started Melissa was telling Shamu to come out and play. When the whales finally came out she was so excited she was screaming "Yea Shamu!"

Baby Beluga

When we were at Sea World we went and saw the animals that was there. When she saw the Beluga whales. She started to sing baby Beluga word from word and everyone just watched her sing the song and when she was done everyone clapped for her.
